Question 836673: I need help solving this problem with formula and explanation. An 84 foot wide by 72 foot long building is on a lot that is 245 feet long by 170 feet wide. The entire area surrounding the building is to be paved for parking. Calculate the area that will be paved.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Well, the area of the lot is 41,650: because 245*170=41650
The area of the building is 35,602: because 72*84=6048
So subtract the area from the building from the lot and you get
41,650-35,602= 6048. That's the area that's going to be paved.;)
