Question 835529: Could someone please help?
g(x)=|x|-3
I need to find I need to find the intercept/vertex/start/end points. I also need the domain and range written in interval notation. Then I need to assume that it shifted 3 units upward and 4 units to the left and say how it effects the equation and incorporate the new numbers.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The function g(x) as given has the domain, all real numbers. The critical point is at x=0.

For x%3E=0, g%28x%29=x-3;
For x%3C0, g%28x%29=-x-3.
The y-intercept is (0,-3).
g(x) has a minimum, vertex point (0,-3).
This means RANGE is g%28x%29%3E=-3.

INTERVAL NOTATION:
Domain, (-oo, +oo).
Range, [-3, +oo).

Shift upward 3 units and 4 units to the left:
h%28x%29=abs%28x%2B4%29-3%2B3, which is h%28x%29=abs%28x%2B4%29

The given, function g(x)
graph%28300%2C300%2C-10%2C10%2C-10%2C10%2Cabs%28x%29-3%29

The changed function, h(x)
