Question 835199: i have a question on my algebra 2 homework. I had a problem, y=3(x-3)(x-3). It asks to graph, find the x-intercept, and the axis of symmetry. I don't understand how to start

You can put this solution on YOUR website! y=3(x-3)(x-3). It asks to graph, find the x-intercept, and the axis of symmetry.

Remember this formula for a parabola: y=A(x-h)^2+k, (h,k)=(x,y)coordinates of the vertex.
y=3(x-3)(x-3)
y=3(x-3)^2+0
vertex:(3,0)
since A>0, parabola opens upward.
axis of symmetry: x=3
find the x-intercept:
set y=0
0=3(x-3)(x-3)
x-3=0
x=3
x-intercept:3
see graph below:
