You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2q-6=1/5q
= (1/2)q - 6 = (1/5)q
Multiplying by 10 (LCD of 2 and 5) throughout,
5q - 60 = 2q
==> 5q - 60 - 2q = 0
==> 3q - 60 = 0
==> 3q = 60
==> q = 60/3
==> q = 20
