You can put this solution on YOUR website!
?y-x%5E2+%2B+4x+-6 ?

Assuming you really meant, y=x%5E2%2B4x-6, you want to Complete The Square and adjust to y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk format. Thee term to both ADD and SUBTRACT on the right-side member is %284%2F2%29%5E2=4. Doing this will allow you to obtain a portion of right-side expression which is a perfect square, and an added or subtracted constant term.

y=x%5E2%2B4x%2B4-4-6
y=%28x%5E2%2B4x%2B4%29-4-6
You finish the work.
