Question :
The equation for the motion of a projectile fired straight up at an initial velocity of 64ft/s is h=64t-16t^2, where h s the height in feet and t is the time in seconds. Fine the time the projectile needs to reach its highest point. How high will it go ?
Again thanks so much! c:

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The equation for the motion of a projectile fired straight up at an initial velocity of 64ft/s is h=64t-16t^2, where h s the height in feet and t is the time in seconds. Fine the time the projectile needs to reach its highest point. How high will it go ?
---------------
h(t) = 64t-16t^2 is a parabola.
Max h is the vertex
t @ vertex = -b/2a = -64/-32 = 2 seconds
-------
Max h is h(2)
