L = 9W

Substitute the value of L
P = 2W + 2(9W)
Add the Ws
P = 2W + 18W
Add
P = 20W
We're given the perimeter as 420
420 = 20W
Divide each side by 20
21 = W
.
If W is 21, then L = 9*21 = 189
