Question 83299: I need help with the following equation: ^-3 I am just confused as to what to do with the base. Do I raise the base to the 3rd root, or just multiply it? Thanks. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! [(-12a^5b^-2) / (4a^-3b^7)]^-3
-------
=[-3a^8/b^9)]^-3
Comment: The 3 in the exponent means we should cube each factor; the negative
means we should invert the result.
=[-b^27/27a^24]
