SOLUTION: I am having some difficulty trying to figure the value of the literal numbers in this matrix.
C + D = -4
4C - D = -26
D - 8E = 26
I assume I should start with
1 1 | -4

Question 832817: I am having some difficulty trying to figure the value of the literal numbers in this matrix.
C + D = -4
4C - D = -26
D - 8E = 26
I assume I should start with
1 1 | -4
4 -1 | -26
1 -8 | 26
Although from here I am not sure how to go about solving. Do I, take row 1 multiplied by 1, row 2 multiplied by -26. I do not think this is correct. I have a 2x3 on the left and a 1x3 on the right. Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let me re-write your equations and you'll see why there's a problem.
SO then the matrix equation would be,
