Question 832161: a rectangular garden has a length that is 2 more than 3 times the width. Find a simplified expression for the area of this rectangular garden.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let the width be x, then 3 times the width will be 3x, and then 2 more than that will be 3x+2
So you have the width is x, and the length is 3x+2, and area is length times width, so you have
x(3x+2)
