You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5/6 of x = 30 miles
Multiply each side by 6 to get rid of the fraction
5x = 180
Divide each side by 5
x = 36

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When you have part of something and you want to find the whole thing, you need to multiply the part you have with the inverse of the fraction you have. The fraction you have is 5/6, so the inverse will be 6/5
30*6/5=36
So the total length is 36 miles
