You can put this solution on YOUR website! If cot(t) = -12/5 and 3pi/2 < t < 2pi determine an expression for sin(pi - t) and simplify.
--------
Note; t in in QIV where x is positive and y is negative.
----
Since cot(t) = x/y, x = 12 and y = -5
Then r = sqrt(12^2+5^2) = sqrt(169) = 13
------
So, sin(t) = y/r = -5/13
----
Ans: sin(pi-t) = sin(pi)cos(t)-cos(pi)sin(t) = 0*cos(t)-(-1)sin(t)
= sin(t)
= -5/13
