Question 831893: Could someone please help me with this problem?
Find three consecutive integers such that the sum of the first and third is 76 less than three times the second.
This is what I got so far:
x+x+2=3(x+1)-76
x+x+2=3x+3-76
2x=3x+3-76
2x=3x-73
But I feel like I did it wrong, so could someone help me?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+x+2=3(x+1)-76
x+x+2=3x+3-76'
2x=3x+3-76
what happened to the +2 on the left?

You did everything correct except for the 3rd step where you forgot the "2".
2x+2=3x+3-76
2x=3x+3-2-76
x=75
x+1=76
x+2=77
three consecutive integers: 75,76,77
