Question 831084: On a 545 km trip from Detroit to Chicago, Kevin drove partly on the motorway at 120km/h and the rest on roads where he could only average 45km/h. If the total trip took 7h how far did Kevin travel on each type of road?

Are you sure that your numbers are correct? Because, if it's a 540km trip, then it's 3 hours at 120kph and 4 hours at 45kph. (3*120 = 360, 4*45=180, 360+180=540).

At 545, it ends up a long fraction (3 and change) and just under 4 hours for the 45kph. Please check and repost.
