multiply both sides by -1
sqrt%28x-11%29=+sqrt%28x%29-3
Square both sides, the right side has to be FOILed
x+-+11+=+x+-+6sqrt%28x%29+%2B+9
combine like terms on the left
x - x - 11 - 9 = 6sqrt%28x%29
-20 = 6sqrt%28x%29
square both sides
400 = 36x
x = 400/36
x = 11.11
