Question 82854: Are these questions correct?
Two lines that meet to form a right angle are called perpendicular lines?
Two lines that never meet are called parallel lines?
Two lines that are not parallel and do not meet to form a right angle are called intersecting lines?
Are these questions correct? Can you please tell me if not. Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
"Two lines that never meet are called parallel lines" you are correct. Technically they never "intersect", but its the same idea
"Two lines that are not parallel and do not meet to form a right angle are called intersecting lines" you are correct. However, perpendicular lines (lines that intersect at 90 degrees) do intersect. So I would consider perpendicular lines intersecting lines also.
