First group these using brackets in a manner that allow us to factor
(ac + xc) + (aw^2 + xw^2)
Factor out the common term
c(a+x) + w^2(a+x)
Look at it this way
(c(a+x) + w^2(a+x))
Factor (a+x) and you have
(a + x)(c + w^2)
