You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A quadrilateral is a polygon with 4 sides.
For a polygon with n sides, the measures of the n angles add up to %28n-2%29%2A180%5Eo .
The measures of the 3 angles of a triangle add up to 180%5Eo .
The measures of the 4 angles of a quadrilateral add up to 2%2A180%5Eo=360%5Eo .
The measures of the 5 angles of a pentagon add up to 3%2A180%5Eo=540%5Eo .
For your quadrilateral, the measures of the angles (in degrees) are
y%2B11 , y-4 , y%2B13 , and y .
If you add them all up, it should equal 360 .
%28y%2B11%29%2B%28y-4%29%2B%28y%2B13%29%2By=360
y%2B11%2By-4%2By%2B13%2By=360
y%2By%2By%2By%2B11-4%2B13=360
%28y%2By%2By%2By%29%2B%2811-4%2B13%29=360
4y%2B20=360
4y=360-20
4y=340
y=340%2F4
highlight%28y=85%29
So the measure of one of the angles in your quadrilateral is 85%5Eo .

The measures (in degrees) of the other 3 angles are
y%2B11=85%2B11=highlight%2896%29 ,
y-4=85-4=highlight%2881%29 , and
y%2B13=85%2B13=highlight%2898%29 .
