You can put this solution on YOUR website!

you are driving 75+mph
time is t=1+min or t=+%281%2F60%29h=0.0166666666666667h
a 17 inch radius tires has perimeter of P=2%2Api%2A17in=2%2A3.14%2A17in=106.76in
convert inches to miles
106.76in+=+0.001685mil
now, find the distance you can travel for t=0.0166666666666667h at 75+mph
d=75+%28mil%2Fh%29%2A0.0166666666666667h..........cancel h
d=75+mil%2A0.0166666666666667
d=1.2+mil
now divide d by P
1.2mil%2F0.001685mil...cancel mil
1.2%2F0.0016850=712.17... the number of your tire revolutions for one minute

I have a 17 inch radius tires on my car. I notice I am driving 75 miles per hour. How many revolutions per minutes are my tires turning?
--------
Find the circumference of the tire: C = 34pi inches
----
Divide 75 miles by 34pi inches = (75*5280*12 inches/hr)/(34pi inches)
= 44488.49 revolutions/hr
-------
= 471.48 revs/min
