You can put this solution on YOUR website! I have 6 oz of paint that needs to have thinning solution added to it.
It is recommended I add 20 percent thinner by volume.
How many oz of thinner should I add to the 6 oz of paint ?
:
Let t = amt of thinner to be added to have a 20% thinner mixture
t = .20(t+6)
t = .2t + 1.2
t - .2t = 1.2
.8t = 1.2
t = 1.2/.8
t = 1.5 oz to be added to make it 20% thinner
:
The 2nd coat formula
t = .33(t+6)
t =- .33t + 1.98
t - .33t = 1.98
.67t = 1.98
t = 1.98/.67
t = 2.95 oz, 3 oz would be close enough I would think
