: Please help me, graph the inequality. I have several inequalities similiar to this on my homework and if you could help me with this I will be capable of completing the rest.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! you graph it as if it were an equality (x=-2) ... this is a vertical line going through -2 on the x-axis
since x is not equal to -2 (always less than), the line is dashed rather than solid
to see which side of the line is the solution, choose a point and see if it satisfies the inequality
in this case, choosing the origin (0,0), we see that x>-2, so the other side of the line is the solution, and should be shaded
