You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3%5E%288-x%29+=+27%5E%282-x%29
Rework the right hand side.
3%5E%288-x%29+=+%283%5E3%29%5E%282-x%29
For the next line, in general %28a%5En%29%5Em+=+a%5E%28n%2Am%29
3%5E%288-x%29+=+%283%29%5E%283%2A%282-x%29%29
3%5E%288-x%29+=+3%5E%28%286-3x%29%29
Now we know 8 - x = 6 - 3x
Add 3x to each side.
8 + 2x = 6
Subtract 8 from each side.
2x = -2
So x = -1
