Question 826027: Can I please have help with this problem?
If the value of r is positive, and the value of s is negative, is the value of the expression
r-s/ r*s = postive or negative?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hola :)
If r is positive and s is negative, then r - s will be positive
for example, if we take r as 5 and s as -2
r - s
= 5 - (-2)
= 5 + 2
= 7
If r is positive and s is negative, then r * s will be negative
for example, if we take our earlier values
r * s
= 5 * (-2)
= -10
Finally, any positive value (r - s) divided by a negative value (r * s) ends up being negative
for example,
10 /-5 = -2
Therefore, the value of the equation will be negative :) All the best :) x
