You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find and simplify the difference quotient of f,
f(x+h)-f(x) divided by h, h#0, for the function f(x) = (1/2)x
----
Note: I changed your h=0 to h#0.
Why? You cannot divide by zero.
-----
f(x+h) = (1/2)(x+h) = (1/2)x + (1/2)h
f(x) = (1/2)x
----
f(x+h)-f(x) = (1/2)h
-----
[f(x+h)-f(x)]/h = [(1/2)h]/h = 1/2
