Question 824226: This is my question.
A, b, c are angles around a point. (I already know that angles around a point is 360). Angle b is 15 degrees more than angle a. Angle c is 95 degrees. By constructing an equation and solving it, find angle a and b.
This is what I have tried before asking.
A+b+c=360
A+b+95=360
A+b=360-95
A+b=265
15+b=265
B=265-15
B=240
This is where I get stuck because even with this answer(so if a and b equal this) 240+95 does not equal 360 but equals 335. Can you tell me where I went wrong please. Thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You went wrong here.
a+b=265
15+b=265
should be a=15+b
and since
a+b=265
b+15+b=265
2b=250
b=125
a+125=265
a=140
c=95

You're correct up to: a + b = 265 ----- eq (i)
After that, it should be: b = a + 15
a + a + 15 = 265 ------- Substituting a + 15 for b in eq (i)
2a = 265 - 15
2a = 250
a = 250%2F2, or highlight_green%28125%5Eo%29
b = 265 - 125, or highlight_green%28140%5Eo%29
You can do the check!!
