Question 824192: Hi. I have a solution to this problem, yet doesn't seem ok:
One tract can be ploughed with 6 tractors for 4 days, if they plough 120hectares a day. Two of the tractors were moved to another tract. The rest 4 ploughed the same tract for 5 days. How many decares average a day ploughed the 4 tractors?
Thanx for the help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For 6 tractors, their rate of ploughing the tract is
+120%2F4+=+30+ hectares/day
----------------------------
1/6 as many tractors will plough the tract at
1/6 times that rate, so
--------------------
1 tractor will plow 1 tract in at a rate of +30%2F6+=+5+
hectares/day
--------------
4 tractors will plough at 4 times that rate, so
--------------
4 tractors will plow 1 tract in at a rate of +4%2A5+=+20+
hectares/day
--------------
If the 4 tractors plough for 5 days, they will plough
+20%2A5+=+100+ hectares
--------------
Hope I got it
