You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Alice has nine dollars.
Bob has the same amount of money as the sum of all of Alice's money and half of Carol's money.
b = .5c + 9
Carol has the same amount of money as Alice and Bob combined.
c = b + 9
replace b with (.5c+9)
c = .5c+9 + 9
c -.5c = 18
.5c = 18
c = 36
Find b
b = .5(36) + 9
b = 27
:
If the three people pool their money , how much cash will they have in all?
a + b + c
9 + 27 + 36 = $72
