perimeter of a rectangle is 36 meters. 

the length of the rectangle is 4 meters longer than the width highlight_green%28w%29

find the length and width of the rectangle.   

Question states*** 2l + 2w = 36m

 2(w+4m) + 2w = 36m

 2w + 8 + 2w = 36m

     4w = 28m

      w = 7m, the width and the length is 11m   (7m + 4m)

CHECKING our answer***

 2%2811m%29+%2B+2%287m%29 = 22m + 14m =  36m
