Cost/Liter = $1.40/2.5L =  $0.56 per Liter  &  6 will cost: 6(.56) = $3.36

 2.5L%2F1.40+=+6L%2Fx    |Cross Multiplying to solve

      2.5x = 6(1.40)

         x = 6(1.40)/2.5

  x = $3.36
