Question 81909This question is from textbook Algebra 1
: Can you walk me through equations like this?
(X-5 over 5)+ (x over 4)=8
(5-2X over 2) -(4x+3 over 6) = (7x+2 over 6) This question is from textbook Algebra 1
You can put this solution on YOUR website! (X-5 over 5)+ (x over 4)=8
(x-5)/5 + x/4 = 8
Multiply thru by 20 to get:
4(x-5) + 5x = 160
4x-20+5x = 160
9x=180
x=20
=============
(5-2X over 2) -(4x+3 over 6) = (7x+2 over 6)
(5-2x)/2 - (4x+3)/6 = (7x+2)/6
Multiply thru by 6 to get:
3(5-2x) - (4x+3) = (7x+2)
15-6x -4x-3 = 7x+2
-10x+12 = 7x+2
17x=10
x=10/17
