Final Exam worth 40% of your overall grade

Everything else is 100 - 40 = 60% of your grade

(weight of everything else)*(current grade) + (weight of final exam)*(final exam grade) = final overall grade

0.60*0.65 + 0.40x = 0.65

0.39 + 0.40x = 0.65

0.40x = 0.65 - 0.39

0.40x = 0.26

x = 0.26/0.40

x = 0.65

So if you get a 65% on the final exam, then you'll have a 65% overall in the class.
