Hi,
log 3 + log (x + 1) = log (2x + 4) | 1st step would be to get them on one side of the EQ
log 3 + log (x + 1)- log (2x + 4) = 0 | write as one Logarithm
log%2810%2C%283%28x%2B1%29%2F%282x%2B4%29%29%29+=+0+ Apply: and
%283%28x%2B1%29%2F%282x%2B4%29%29+=+10%5E0 Apply:
%283%28x%2B1%29%2F%282x%2B4%29%29+=+1
3x+ 3 = 2x + 4
x = 1
CHECKING our answer***
log 3 + log (x + 1) = log (2x + 4)
log 3 + log (2) = log (6)
