I really need your help in solving this problem:
It takes Robert 9 hr longer to construct a fence than it take Eldwin. If they work together, they can construct the fence in 20 hr. How long would it take each, working alone, to construct the fence?

r + e = 20

r + e = 20
e + 9 + e = 20
2e + 9 = 20
2e = 11

e = 11/2 = 5.5 hours
r = 14.5 hours
