Hi,
The ratio of the measure of two complementary angles is 5:4
Let 5x and 4x represent the measure of the angles
what is the measure of the larger angle
5x%2B4x+=+90
9x = 90
x = 10°, 5x = 50° , the larger angle
CHECKING our answer*** (4x = 40°)
50° + 40° = 90°
and 50°/40° = 5/4
