Answer by TimothyLamb(4379) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! a = volume of 45% drink (pints)
b = volume of 70% drink (pints)
45a + 70b = 55*170 = 9350
a + b = 170
a = 170 - b
---
45a + 70b = 9350
45(170 - b) + 70b = 9350
7650 - 45b + 70b = 9350
7650 + 25b = 9350
25b = 1700
---
b = 68 pints
a = 102 pints
