Hi,
The cost of a child's ticket was $3 less than the cost of an adults ticket.
Let x and (x-3)represent the cost of the adult and a child's ticket respectively
Question states*** 9 adults and 2 children, total cost was $181
9x + 2(x-3) = $181
11x = $187
x = $17, price of an adult ticket. the child's ticket cost $14
