You can put this solution on YOUR website!
consider the triangle ABC where
angle A = 90 degrees, angle B = 2 1/4 degrees and angle C = 87 3/4 degrees
from the law of sines for a triangle we have
b / sin B = c / sin C
b / sin 2 1/4 = 45 / sin C
b = ((sin 2 1/4) * 45) / sin 87 3/4
b = (.0392 * 45) / .9992
b = 1.8 feet
vertical drop is 1.8 feet
