Your test score in science are 83 and 87. What possible scores can you earn on your next test to have a test average between 85 and 90,inclusive?
Let 3rd score be S
Then:
255 < 170 + S < 270 ------- Multiplying by LCD, 3
255 - 170 < S < 270 - 170
85 < S < 100
The 3rd score should be between 85 and 100, non-inclusive.
You can do the check!!
