How long did Sam take to run past Harry for the first time?
:
ONe way to do this just assign a distance around the track, 600 meters
then
600/12 = 50 m/min is Sam's speed
and
600/15 = 40 m/min is Harry's speed
:
When they start they are 300 meters apart (opposite sides of the round track)
Their relative speed 50 - 40 = 10 m/min
then
t = 300%2F10
t = 30 minutes for Sam to catch Harry
