You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2/3(3x + 14) = 7x + 6
The distributive property is just basically saying to distribute the 3 to the terms (7x+6) and 2/3(3x+14).
This becomes
2(3x+14) = 3(7x+6)
Distribute the 2 and 3.
6x+28 = 21x + 18
Subtract 6x
28 = 15x +18
Subtract 18
10 = 15x
3/2 = x
x= 3/2
