4 p^2 (2 p^4-5 p^2+9 p-4)

Factoring by grouping:
split the equation into 2 parts
8p%5E6-20p%5E4
and
36p%5E3-16p%5E2
Then what you do is take out numbers and variables until the part in the ( ) is as simplified as possible.
8p%5E6-20p%5E4
you can take out a 4 and p%5E4.
4p%5E4%282p%5E2-5%29
do it to both parts
36p%5E3-16p%5E2
you can take out 4 and p%5E2.
4p%5E2%289p-4%29
then add them back together
4p%5E4%282p%5E2-5%29%2B4p%5E2%289p-4%29
That would be your answer
