Question 809092: I don't understand how to do equations. The book has a system they want me to use, but I don't get it. One of their models is:
2x=x-4
Add -x 2x-x=x-x-4
X=0-4
X=-4
My problem is 2x= 15+ x
I just don't understand how to work these equations, and I appreciate your time! :)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I don't understand how to do equations. The book has a system they want me to use, but I don't get it. One of their models is:
2x=x-4
Add -x 2x-x=x-x-4
X=0-4
X=-4
My problem is 2x= 15+ x
Step 1, get all x terms on one side of the equal sign.
Same as above, add -x to both sides (same as subract x).
2x= 15+ x
2x - x = 15 + x - x
1x = 15
x = 15
-----------
That's it.
I just don't understand how to work these equations, and I appreciate your time! :)
