(t+6)(b+6) = tb + 120
FOIL
tb + 6t + 6b + 36 = tb + 120
Subtract tb from both sides
6t + 6b + 36 = 120
simplify, divide by 6
t + b + 6 = 20
t + b = 20-6
t + b = 14
