You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the sum of 3 numbers is 100.
a + b + c 100
find the numbers if the 2nd no. is 10 more than twice the first
b = 2a + 10
:
and 3rd no. is less than the sum of the 1st two?
c < a + b
Replace b with (2a+10)
c < a + 2a + 10
c < 3a + 10
Assume
c = 3a + 9
:
I don't see how these could be consecutive\
Replace b with (2a+10) in the 1st equation
a + (2a + 10) + c = 100
3a + c = 100 - 10
3a + c = 90
replace c with 3a+9
3a + 3a + 9 = 90
6a = 90-9
6a = 81
a = 81/6
a = 13.5
has to be an integer,
assume a = 14
then
b = 2(14) + 10
b = 38
Find c
14 + 38 + c = 100
c = 100 - 52
c = 48
How about 14, 38, 48?
