Question 807535: Please help me solve these functions, with work shown.
Let f(x)=x+4 and g(x)=x^2+8x –3.
Find each of the following functions:
(f+g)(x)
(f–g)(x)
(fg)(x)
f∘g
Is there a calculator I can use for functions?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Calculator? Maybe, but for these, none is needed.

(f+g)(x), just addition of the functions.
(f-g)(x), subtraction of g from f.
(fg)(x), the multiplication of functions.

I only explain the last one, the fourth in your list:
f o g, means the function f composed of the function g, so that g is the input for f. In your given examples for f and g, this would mean f%28g%28x%29%29=%28x%5E2%2B8x-3%29%2B4=x%5E2%2B8x-3%2B4=highlight%28x%5E2%2B8x%2B1%29
