All these logs are base 10 we know this because logs base 10 dont need to show the 10 like log base 7 or log base 3 would. It just shows log.
If there is a number before the log it is an exponent.
The above equation can be written
log%28x%5E4%29-log%28%28x%5E2%2B1%29%5E3%29%2Blog%28%28x-1%29%5E2%29
Now we will use the division/multiplication property..
log%28%28%28x%5E4%29%28x-1%29%5E2%2F%28%28x%5E2%2B1%29%5E3%29%29%29
When there is a minus sign before the log it is on the bottom. If there is a plus before the log it goes on top.
