Question 806485: Jim has gotten scores of 60 and 100 on his first 2 tests. What score must he get on his 3rd test to keep an average of 75 or greater? I have to show my work and I'm having a brain fart. I think in have the problem set up correctly (60+100+x)/3 >_ 75; but I can't figure out how to solve it. The >_ is supposed to be equal to or greater than. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!! ;) Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! (60+100+x)/3 >= 75
Don't worry about the greater than sign
Dot he work as if it were DISABLED_event_only=
(60+100+x)/3 >= 75
160+x>=225
x>=65
