Question 806312: I have been struggling with this problem for the past few days! I cannot figure out how to set up a work rate table which is required by my professor let alone figure out how to get the answer. Any and all help would be appreciated!
Question: (work rate table required)
A water tank can be filled by one pipe in 6 hours and by a second pipe in 10 hours. If the first pipe is open for 4 hours and then the second pipe is opened, how long will it take to fill the tank?
