You can put this solution on YOUR website!

What is the plot of the point with coordinates (-4,3)?

First draw this set of axes, or get some graph paper:

graph%28300%2C300%2C-8%2C8%2C-8%2C8%29

The first coordinate of (-4,3) is -4. That is the
x-coordinate. Find -4 on the horizontal axis, and
draw a vertical line through -4, like this:

graph%28300%2C300%2C-8%2C8%2C-8%2C8%2C+999%28x%2B4%29%29

The second coordinate of (-4,3) is 3. That is the
y-coordinate. Find 3 on the vertical axis, and
draw a horizontal line through 3, like this:

graph%28300%2C300%2C-8%2C8%2C-8%2C8%2C+999%28x%2B4%29%2C3%29

Draw a dot where those two line cross:

Erase those two lines:

That "o" is the point (-4,3) plotted.

Notice it is directly above the -4 on the
x-axis (the horizontal axis) and it is
on the same level with 3 on the y-axis
(the vertical axis). When you have plotted
a few points you will be able to plot them
without having to draw in those two lines
and them erase them.
