The question is, The area of an equilateral triangle is 1 mile^2. Find its side length.
I have tried solving for h from A=1/2bh but end up with answers like 1=1. I feel like this should be very simple but for some reason it is just not clicking with me.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The area of an equilateral triangle is 1 mile^2. Find its side length.
-------------
Side length = s
h = (s/2)/cos(60)
or h = sqrt(s^2 - (s/2)^2)
Either way, h = s*sqrt(3)/2
----
Area = b*h/2
= s*s*sqrt(3)/4 = 1
s^2 = 4/sqrt(3)
s =~ 1.51937 miles
